Ceci n'est pas une pipe

An exploration of the links between visual art and music. Each show will consist of visual analysis of a selected work of art, potentially featuring relevant guests, interspersed with songs which correlate to the artwork through thematic or conceptual similarities. Music will be freeform to create a diverse musical landscape accompanying the piece of art; the show will not be limited to any genre nor era, but some favorites include folk, jangle/twee pop, jazz, trip-hop, and alternative rock. I hope to incorporate collaborations with the Allen Memorial Art Museum, where I work, and analyze some of their artworks currently on display.
