Corrina Does: A Lot

What is Elliott Smith's happiest song? What about the Beach Boy's saddest? In my show, I want to explore when artists step out of their comfort zones; with genre (rock does reggae), mood (sad does happy), time period (old does new), etc. Each episode will designate one half to one side of the coin, and the second half to the other. Maybe there are songs that blend into some strange squishy middle part, like Bad Brains, a possibly rock-reggae hybrid. Maybe some songs are debated for both categories; are Rites of Spring punk doing emo or emo ahead of its time, disguised as punk? This show will be a whole lot of fun and possibly feature guests to accompany me on my journey to navigate arbitrary definitions for objectively excellent songs.
